New Zealand Exchange

New Zealand Cadet Forces CrestIn 2010, cadets from the New Zealand Cadet Forces visited RCSCC Fraser on a three week exchange to Canada. It is very exciting to announce that FRASER will conduct its reciprocal exchange visit in April 2013.

The pinnacle of the exchange will be participation in the annual ANZAC Day ceremony held April 25. ANZAC Day is akin to Remembrance Day in Canada and honours members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps who fought at Gallipoli in the Ottoman Empire during World War I.

The experience of an International Cadet Exchange is often a once in a lifetime opportunity that is not to be missed. The road to the exchange will be a lot of work, but will be a truly rewarding one come departure day and throughout the trip. We will hold many fund raisers that will require the dedication of both parents and cadets to be successful.

We will continue to post updates regarding the planning process as they come up. Our first meeting regarding the exchange will take place for parents on February 7, 2012 at 7:00pm at the Annacis Island Training Quarters. Parents of cadets who are interested in participating are required to attend this meeting.
